Registration

In order to ensure everyone’s safety and follow local directives, Purdue Polytechnic Kokomo is now operating via distance until further notice. All classes will be conducted online for the remainder of the semester.

Registration procedures

  • New students must attend an orientation program prior to enrolling in classes.
  • Meet with a Purdue Polytechnic academic advisor during one of the advising sessions to complete the Purdue course request and to receive approval for CLASS PERMISSION and have the HOLD released on your account.
  • Confirm course selection via Web during the designated registration dates. Use OneStart to confirm your classes for registration.

Schedule Adjustment (Drop/Add)

  • Purdue University Purdue Polytechnic students must complete the appropriate Purdue University DROP/ADD FORM when making an adjustment to their class schedule. This includes any course(s) on a waitlist request.
  • Purdue Polytechnic students can pick up a DROP/ADD FORM from the student services coordinator.
  • Meet with a Purdue Polytechnic academic advisor during one of the advising sessions to complete the Purdue course request and to receive approval for CLASS PERMISSION and have the HOLD released on your account.
  • Confirm course selection via Web during the designated registration dates. Use OneStart to confirm your classes for registration.
  • Courses added after the first week of class will be assessed a late registration fee.

Withdrawal from a course (Drop)

  • To withdraw from a course, you must complete the Purdue University DROP/ADD form.
  • If you enroll in courses but cannot attend, you MUST OFFICIALLY WITHDRAW FROM THE UNIVERSITY BEFORE THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS to cancel both your registration and billing statement.
  • Students who DO NOT go through the official withdrawal process will receive a failing grade and will also forfeit any refunds.
  • Students who officially withdraw from the university during the first week of class may be entitled to a full or partial refund of their tuition and course related fees.
  • Courses dropped after the first week of class will have the refund reduced proportionately.
  • Courses which have not been officially dropped, even though you never attended class, will result in your receiving a failing grade and being responsible for all fees
  • Purdue Polytechnic students who withdraw from courses after the fourth week of class must obtain the instructor's signature on the Purdue Revision form.
  • Withdrawal from courses during the first four weeks of the semester may substantially impact financial aid resulting in repayment of funds to the university.
