Purdue University's Board of Trustees approved faculty promotions during their April 8, 2016, meeting. The promotions are effective with the 2016-17 academic year.
The Purdue Polytechnic Institute professors whose promotions were approved are:
- Kari Clase, professor of technology leadership and innovation
- R. Mark French, professor of mechanical engineering technology
- Thomas Hacker, professor of computer and information technology
- Raymond Hansen, clinical associate professor of computer and information technology
- Dawn Laux, clinical associate professor of computer and information technology
- Walter Daniel Leon-Salas, associate professor of electrical and computer engineering technology
- William Gerry McCartney, professor of computer and information technology
- Julia Taylor, associate professor of computer and information technology
- David Whittinghill, associate professor of computer graphics technology
