Solving society's wicked problems

“Our students in leadership are learning how to solve society’s wicked problems,” says Brett Crawford, assistant professor of technology leadership and innovation.

Crawford and 125 students from TLI 11200 (Foundations in Organizational Leadership) volunteered for the Detrash the Wabash event Oct. 22. Crawford set a goal “of learning how to improve the impact of river cleanup events and discover how individuals come together to work through social and environmental problems.”

In addition to diverting more than half of the trash to the recycling supply chain, the students also helped improve the process.
