Forty female high school students from Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky participated in the Purdue University Cybersecurity Camp this week (June 17-22). The camp, hosted by Purdue Polytechnic’s Department of Computer and Information Technology (CIT) and funded by the National Security Agency and the National Science Foundation, is designed to interest girls in cybersecurity careers and in CIT’s majors.
Participants attended courses in programming, cybersecurity and networking, and they explored topics including cybersecurity first principles, ethics and online safety.
