BIM and GIS Integration for Sustainable Communities
Current Affiliation: Clayco
Takalkar, Vinayak Kailas
My research focuses on hazard precursor detections using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and building information modeling (BIM). My goal is to develop a cost-efficient, user-friendly, and highly accurate method using video surveillance and AI to reduce manual and laborious tasks.
Gaur, Shubhang
BIM and GIS Integration for Sustainable Communities
Current Affiliation: The Lane Construction Corporation
Mahdaviparsa, Akram (Mina)
Mina studied the application of technology to reduce the time and cost of water damage restoration projects after disasters. To recover and restore buildings with water damage, a systematic restoration strategy with an automatic moisture mapping process is proposed using a thermal 3D laser scanner, BIM-GIS, and IoT. (Co-advising with Dr. Randy R. Rapp)
Current Affiliation: Turner Construction
Mehta, Siddhant Milind (Sid)
I am looking for constant improvement and hence my research focus lies in improving efficiency in construction by making use of smart sustainable practices and also leveraging construction automation to achieve this goal.
Current Affiliation: Skanska

Multi-modal sensor networks for smart construction and smart building operation
Current Affiliation: Mott MacDonald
Hou, Yiru (Annique)
Annique's research focuses on digital twin construction project and program management. She is currently working on detection of hazard precursors to implement proactive safety management on construction sites. In the future, with the combination of BIM and GIS, she will further explore digital-twining human and environment responsive and interactive construction workplaces.
