Energy literacy and renewable energy both necessary for net zero consumption

Achieving lower energy consumption goals in high performance buildings will be possible only when the people who use those buildings have high energy literacy, says Bill Hutzel, professor of mechanical engineering technology. 40 Columbus students earn academic honors

Each semester, Purdue Polytechnic Columbus recognizes students for academic achievement by naming them to the Dean's List or awarding Semester Honors.

Students on the Dean's List meet the following criteria: have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA (at least 12 hours included in the cumulative GPA) and 3.0 semester GPA (at least six hours included).

Students can obtain Semester Honors if they have at least a 3.5 semester GPA (at least six hours included) and at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA.

Message from the dean

Perhaps the most visible part of the college’s transformation was approved at the May meeting of the Purdue University Board of Trustees. The board approved our proposal to rename the College of Technology to the Purdue Polytechnic Institute.

On May 15, the Purdue University Board of Trustees encouraged the college’s efforts and transformation by approving the renaming of the college to the Purdue Polytechnic Institute.
