Supply chain management technology students place second in Conexus Logistics competition
A team of students majoring in supply chain management technology placed second in the Conexus Logistics Case Study Competition held October 12-14 in Indianapolis.
Digital Manufacturing event Nov. 10
Nathan Hartman, Ed.D., will be the keynote speaker for "Digital Manufacturing: The Digital Thread" at the Whitley County Government Center November 10.
The event will focus on results of a recent digital manufacturing survey.
The breakfast event will take place 7:30-9 a.m. in the Lower Level, Rooms A and B of the center.
Purdue Polytechnic Kokomo defeats Notre Dame in robotic football
Purdue’s Boilerbots, a team of robotic football players from Purdue Polytechnic Kokomo, journeyed to the University of Notre Dame October 1 to take on the Fightin’ iBots in a game of American Football. The Boilerbots won, 26-6.

RICE technologies extend first responders' reach
Eric Matson, associate professor of computer and information technology, collaborates with a research team to develop drones that are capable of gauging the threat of an unknown gaseous plume. This technology will be able to measure densities, detect the plume gases, and map the shape and location of the plume, then send information to first responders.

Purdue, AOPA to create aviation-related high school curriculum
Purdue University's Polytechnic Institute and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) have formed a partnership to develop aviation-related science and math curriculum for high schools across America.
Faculty with the university's School of Aviation and Transportation Technology and the AOPA developed a program that will be the first-of-its-kind, offering students comprehensive four-year aviation study options that are aligned to rigorous math and science standards used in many states.
