Promoted to Associate Professor of Practice
- Tawfiq Salem, Department of Computer and Information Technology – Salem brings expertise in computer vision, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, with a strong commitment to enhancing computing education through innovative technologies.
- Travis Fuerst, School of Engineering Technology – A seasoned industry professional and Army veteran, Fuerst leverages deep experience in project management, PLM, continuous improvement, and change & configuration management in his teaching and mentorship.
- Darlene Russ-Eft, Department of Technology Leadership and Innovation – Russ-Eft is recognized internationally for her work in leadership development, workplace education, and evaluation, with decades of experience in research and teaching.

- Volodymyr Bilotkach, School of Aviation and Transportation Technology – An expert in aviation economics and policy, Bilotkach contributes to advancing the academic and research mission of the aviation program.
Promoted to Associate Professor
- Wenhai Sun, Department of Computer and Information Technology – Sun is an NSF CAREER Award recipient whose research centers on privacy-enhancing technology, AI for privacy and security, blockchain, and cyber-physical systems security, with affiliations across key Purdue research institutes.
- Robert Nawrocki, School of Engineering Technology – Nawrocki’s research in organic electronics, soft robotics, and neuromorphic systems is pushing the boundaries of innovation in smart materials and flexible devices.
Promoted to Full Professor
- Byung-Cheol (“B.C.”) Min, Department of Computer and Information Technology – Min is the inaugural director of the Applied AI Research Center and is internationally known for his work in robotics, human-robot interaction, robot learning, and multi-robot systems. A Purdue University Faculty Scholar and NSF CAREER Award recipient, Min exemplifies research excellence and interdisciplinary leadership.
