Endress+Hauser, a services and solutions provider for industrial project engineering and Purdue Polytechnic industry partner, is cooperating with Purdue’s Indiana Next Generation Manufacturing Competitiveness Center (IN-MaC) to provide a Design and Innovation Studio for early education and workforce development. The classroom and maker space is being built in Endress+Hauser’s new commercial office and light industrial facility in Greenwood, Ind.

United Airlines and Purdue University announced a new partnership between Aviate, United’s career development program for pilots, and the School of Aviation and Transportation Technology in Purdue University’s Polytechnic Institute. The partnership will provide a direct pathway for students majoring in professional flight from their studies to flight decks in United’s fleet.

Major multidisciplinary research partnership with Peruvian university gets ready for third phase

A delegation from the Universidad Nacional de San Agustín (UNSA) in Arequipa, Peru, visited Purdue University’s West Lafayette campus in October to prepare for the third phase of a major multidisciplinary research partnership. Purdue Polytechnic’s Daniel Leon-Salas, who served as one of the delegation’s hosts, is developing a low-cost, portable sensor to measure photosynthetically active solar radiation to help farmers and plant growers to assess the solar resources available to them.
