Capstone Education, For The Learning

Capstone Education

The Capstone Program in the School of Engineering Technology (SoET) is dedicated to fostering an environment of teaching, learning, and preparing exceptional engineering technology graduates who are highly sought-after by companies. It is important to note that while the SoET Capstone Program provides valuable experiential learning, it is not intended as a substitute for professional engineering services, and therefore, there is no guarantee of a successful project outcome. However, we can assure you of our unwavering commitment and diligent effort in every project we undertake.

Goals

The Capstone Program is designed with the following primary goals in mind:

  • Practical Application of Skills: The program requires teams of senior students to apply the skills and knowledge they have acquired throughout their studies to tackle real-world industry challenges on behalf of clients. This hands-on and minds-on experience allows students to demonstrate their abilities and problem-solving capabilities in a practical setting.
  • Talent Assessment and Relationship Building: Participating companies have the unique opportunity to assess students' potential as future employees while establishing valuable connections with the SoET. These relationships serve as a potential pipeline for recruiting talented individuals who have showcased their skills and dedication through the Capstone Program.

By pursuing these goals, the Capstone Program aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry, empowering students, and fostering fruitful partnerships between the School of Engineering Technology and the business community.

Partners Program for Capstone Education

SoET's Capstone Program provides students with the opportunity to engage in new product development. By collaborating with industry partners, students can contribute to innovative projects and gain valuable experience in driving the development of cutting-edge solutions.
