Abhishek Balaji, a 2017 graduate who earned a bachelor’s degree in computer and information technology and a minor in management, was selected to deliver the student response at the commencement ceremony for the Purdue Polytechnic Institute and the College of Liberal Arts on May 13. Balaji spoke about a variety of experiences he had as a Purdue undergraduate and the lessons each situation taught him. 

Purdue University awarded 1,016 degrees to the Purdue Polytechnic Institute’s December 2015 and May 2016 graduates in West Lafayette and at the college’s eight statewide locations.

Purdue Polytechnic Kokomo celebrated its 2016 graduates May 10 during its commencement in the Indiana University Kokomo Kresge Auditorium.

Purdue Polytechnic Columbus will hold its commencement at 6 p.m., Wednesday, May 11, at the Columbus Learning Center Lecture Hall.

Purdue University College of Technology, Anderson will award degrees during spring commencement at the Flagship Enterprise Center, 2705 Enterprise Drive, Anderson, IN 46013 on Saturday, May 17 at 11 a.m.

The Class of 2014 consists of 10 graduates; seven will participate in the ceremony.

John C. Russo, a 2013 graduate of the computer graphics technology program, was the student responder at the Winter 2013 Commencement Dec. 15.

His inspiring story of trying to live an extraordinary life was covered in several media outlets leading up to and after the big event.
