Who Should Apply

All persons with an interest in visualization are encouraged to apply. All academic majors and research interests with an interest in visualization are encouraged to apply. Women and members of underrepresented groups and underrepresented academic domains are also encouraged to apply (click the Apply link below)

Self-Funded Participants

Should complete the online application and submit a CV (in PDF format).

Each participant is asked to provide a personal statement of 500 words or less detailing: Why you want to attend BPViz'16, and how attending the workshop will help you advance in your future research/career/project.

Letters of recommendation are not required.

Participants funded by BPViz'16: What to Prepare

  • Students & Faculty: You will need to provide a URL to your CV/Resume (in PDF format only)
  • Students (undergraduates and graduates):
    • You should know the name of the faculty member who will write your letter of recommendation. You must provide contact information (name and email) of this person while completing your application. Once you submit your application, the faculty member will receive an email with instructions on how to provide his/her letter recommendation. This may take up to 24 hours on business days, depending on the time of submission.
      • Note: it is the student's responsibility to ensure your faculty member submits the recommendation by 11:59 PM (EST), July 2, 2016. 
    • Unofficial transcript (undergraduates only); saved in PDF format only, with your name in the filename
