Air Travel - The nearest commercial airports are Indianapolis International (65 miles) and Chicago O’Hare (140 miles) and Chicago Midway (130 miles). All participants are asked to travel to Indianapolis International Airport (Airport Code: IND) on August 2, 2016.
For transportation from the Indianapolis International Airport to Purdue University
You should make a reservation on the Star of America Shuttle Service to arrive at Purdue University on August 2, 2016. Travel time from Indianapolis International Airport to Purdue University is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Please keep this in mind as you make reservations for your return trip. Workshop events will begin at 8:00 AM Wednesday, August 3, 2016 and adjourn at 8:30 PM Thursday, August 4, 2016. Considering travel time from Purdue University to INDY is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes and the likelihood of numerous of flights out of INDY after 8 PM participants are encouraged to schedule return flights on Friday, August 5, 2016. You should schedule your return shuttle ride with Star of America Shuttle Service accordingly. See Ground Travel below.
Ground Travel
Shuttle Services from Airports - Shuttle service is provided to and from Indianapolis by Lafayette Limo and Star of America. Shuttle service to and from O’Hare is provided by Express Air Coach or by Reindeer Shuttle.
Other Commercial Travel - Amtrak and Greyhound also serve the area, stopping at a station in Lafayette. From there, visitors can ride Greater Lafayette's CityBus system to Purdue (about 1.5 miles).
Lodging
Purdue is a very walkable campus and the Union Club Hotel in the Purdue Memorial Union is a convenient on-campus location for overnight visitors. A limited number of rooms have been reserved at the Union Club Hotel at a rate of $99.00 per night for the event. Make sure you indicate you will be participating in the BPViz'16 Workshop.

Driving and Parking
Guests of the Union Club Hotel in the Purdue Memorial Union can park free in the Grant Street Garage located across the street from the Union Club Hotel.
If you are driving to Purdue University and staying at The Union Club Hotel, parking is available in the Grant Street Parking Garage located across the street from the Union Club Hotel.
