New Anderson lab will put students closer to career options
Purdue College of Technology, Anderson, will build a classroom and engineering lab in the Anderson Innovation Center to give its students more real-world experience with robotics and automation.
Greg Winkler, director of the Anderson Economic Development Department, said this is a great educational opportunity for students in Anderson and Madison County to see and experience what the latest innovations in technology are capable of doing.

New Albany location celebrates commencement
Purdue University will celebrate its 2014 commencement ceremony with 43 graduates through the Purdue College of Technology, New Albany, at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 15. The event will take place in the Robinson Theater at Indiana University Southeast.
A high percentage of those graduating with Purdue University degrees have found meaningful employment in the region, according to Andrew Takami who serves as director of Purdue University's College of Technology in New Albany.

Authors of engineering design article honored
Todd Kelley, associate professor of technology leadership and innovation, and his co-author received the 2014 Gerald R. Day Top Peer-Reviewed Article Award from the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association this spring.
The article, which Kelley wrote with Woodrow Wilson Indiana Teaching Fellow Moira McSpadden, is titled "Engineering Design: Diverse Design Teams to Solve Real-World Problems" and was published in Technology and Engineering Teacher in 2012.
