Knowing the types of machines available at Bechtel Innovation Design Center and being familiar with how they work is fundamental to Purdue students’ projects; however, becoming an expert in a machine’s use in order to create only one piece for a class project seemed a bit excessive. Matthew Swabey, Bechtel’s director, needed a happy medium, so he enlisted Bechtel’s student employees, led by Anirudh Pal, to devise a solution.
Graduating senior named G.A. Ross Award winner
Zachary Marshall, a senior who double-majored in aeronautical and astronautical engineering and aerospace financial analysis, was selected to receive the G.A. Ross Award. The award is given to the University’s outstanding graduating senior man who demonstrates high standards of academic achievement, outstanding leadership, strength of character and contribution to Purdue.
CGT’s Garcia Bravo receives Purdue’s top undergraduate teaching award
Purdue Polytechnic’s Esteban Garcia Bravo, associate professor of computer graphics technology, earned a 2021 Charles B. Murphy Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching. It’s Purdue’s highest undergraduate teaching honor.
