Carlos Morales was very helpful in getting me up to speed in web programming. Heather Mayorga was the best source of guidance and she cared so much about my success all throughout my undergrad.

Mom & Dad – without them being my huge support system, I wouldn’t have pushed myself as hard as I did to achieve as many things as I have. They always helped me with everything from homework to speeches for clubs.
What specific classes helped prepare you for your new job?
I geared my electives towards digital and embedded systems, therefore the classes that help to prepare me for my new job would be: Introduction to Digital Systems, Concurrent Digital Systems, Embedded Digital Systems, and Advanced Embedded Digital Systems.

Toni Munguia, for picking me out despite my introversion and exposing me to so many great opportunities in mentorship, leadership, advocacy, and employment. She has given me so many opportunities to hone in my skills and help others, and it has truly been a great kickstart to my career. She has always been so kind and helpful, and she has greatly improved both my college experience and my path for after college.

I would like to thank my parents for supporting me throughout the journey, my boss, Donald Hartman, at ITSP for teaching me a lot outside of classroom. I also would like to thank my friends for making this process a lot easier.

Purdue Polytechnic’s Vetria Byrd and a multidisciplinary research team received a five-year $15 million grant from the National Science Foundation to establish I-GUIDE, a new institute for geospatial data-driven scientific research.
