What: Students will spend the day doing several exciting hands-on activities that highlight many of the topics included in courses and majors offered in the College of Technology at Anderson. Parents are invited and will learn more about the advantages of attending the local campus, the admission process, and financial aid.
Who should attend: High School seniors and juniors who are successfully progressing in a college prep curriculum and may be interested in a career in a technical field. Examples include:
- Engineering technology (ET): A broad background drawing from multiple disciplines in the College of Technology. Students acquire technical knowledge, problem-solving techniques, and applied engineering skills in traditional and emerging areas.
- Industrial technology (IT): A well-rounded background for technical and managerial positions in industry, business, and government. Focus is on the principles of continual process improvement, statistical quality, lean manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Organizational leadership and supervision (OLS): Utilize contemporary management skills through a practical, people-oriented approach to leadership. Emphasis is on team development, leadership for organizational change, conflict resolution, labor/management relations, and much more.
- Information technology: The latest skills are used to analyze and store data, manage information networks, develop new applications, and insure information security.
