Purdue Polytechnic in Columbus is set to host its Design and Innovation Challenge on December 9th, from 5:00 to 7:30 PM, at the Advanced Manufacturing Center of Excellence. This event brings together 6 talented student teams who will showcase their innovative projects, competing for top honors and generous scholarships sponsored by Cummins Inc.

Congratulations to the dozens of students who won money to fund their entrepreneurial endeavors during the spring 2024 Design and Innovation Challenge!

Design & Innovation students in the Department of Technology Leadership and Innovation earned first place and other top marks in annual Moonshot Competitions.

Students from Purdue Polytechnic collaborated with their peers in anthropology and business management to create practical products and compete for money in the Design and Innovation Challenge.

Greg Strimel, a Purdue Polytechnic Institute professor in the Department of Technology Leadership and Innovation, told The Persistent Pursuit that his students choosing to nominate him for a teaching award "means everything" to him.

Purdue Polytechnic’s Abrar Hammoud received the Award for Academic Integration of Steps to Leaps, which recognizes an educator who has woven Steps to Leaps into her pedagogy.

Purdue Polytechnic students Zackary Roth, Brock Langley and Jack Williams have received grant funding from an organization that supports student inventors to help market the Seal Spoon, a spoon with a closable cover designed to help people with Parkinson’s disease.

Purdue Polytechnic’s Design and Innovation Challenge, a showcase for students to incorporate human-centered design during the creation of working prototypes of new products, went virtual in 2020.
