Dawn Laux is an Assistant Dean of Academic Programs in the Purdue Polytechnic and Professor of Practice in the Department of Computer and Information Technology (CIT) at Purdue University. Dr. Laux is currently the chair of the Purdue University Teaching Academy. She has been with the University since 2007 and is responsible for teaching an undergraduate information governance course for CIT. Dr. Laux is a past recipient of the Purdue University Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award in Memory of Charles B. Murphy in 2019. Dawn earned her PhD from Iowa State University in Human Computer Interaction in 2014, and has 10 years of industrial experience in the information technology field. Her research areas of interest include data governance, computer supported collaborative learning, and student persistence.
