Dawn Laux is an Assistant Dean of Academic Programs in the Purdue Polytechnic Institute and Clinical Professor in the Department of Computer and Information Technology (CIT) at Purdue University. She has been with the University since 2007 and is responsible for teaching an undergraduate information governance course, as well as courses in professional communication and technology concepts. Dr. Laux was recently a recipient of the Purdue University Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award in Memory of Charles B. Murphy in 2019. Dawn earned her PhD from Iowa State University in Human Computer Interaction in 2014, and has 10 years of industrial experience in the information technology field. Her research areas of interest include computer supported collaborative learning, student persistence, and social impacts of technology.
