During the Fall of 2023, our team successfully conducted a one-day robotics seminar at West Lafayette Jr./Sr. High School, an event that significantly enriched the educational landscape for the attending students and teachers. This seminar was carefully structured to introduce and explore the realms of cutting-edge research in human-robot interaction, multi-robot systems, and robot design. SMART Lab's CAREER project team collaborated with West Lafayette Jr./Sr. High School to conduct an exceptional five-day robotics outreach program from April 10-15, 2023. The event aimed to captivate K-12 students with the intriguing world of robotics, providing them with invaluable hands-on experiences and insights into practical applications. Throughout the five-day program, students participated in interactive lessons and hands-on coding activities based on Robot Operating System 2 (ROS2), a popular framework for developing multi-robot systems, and engaged with cutting-edge robotics research and applications through a poster presentation seminar conducted by the SMART Lab. by Ruiqi, Arjun, and Dr. Min.

SMART Lab's CAREER project team had a meeting with Mr. James Basinger, a Deputy Commissioner of Operations in Indiana Department of Correction (IDOC). We attended the 2019 Fall Next Generation Scholars Event(NGS) that is one of outreach events for local high school students to introduce ongoing research.
