Mili article identifies competency-based program roadblocks

Fatma Mili, associate dean of educational research and development in the College of Technology, has written a two-part essay for The EvoLLLution titled "Three Roadblocks to Creating a Competency-Based program."

The Purdue Polytechnic Institute was recently awarded $500,000 from the Office of President to create the University's first competency-based degree program.

Robotics researchers attend IEEE conference

Richard Voyles, associate dean for research and professor of electrical engineering technology, attended the  annual IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems in Chicago in September.

He was joined by his graduate students from the Collaborative Robotics Lab (CRL). Ph.D. student Yanzhe Cui presented his paper titled, "ReFrESH: A Self-Adaptation Framework to Support Fault Tolerance in Field Mobile Robots."
