Fall semester welcomes new degree program

Hard to believe, but it has finally arrived! The fall semester is beginning to ramp up, and it is truly exciting. I don’t ever tire of it. The campus is bustling with activity, the football team is practicing everyday now and I have even heard the deep bellowing sound of our own Purdue Boilermaker Special as it cruises around campus. It truly doesn’t get any better than this!

New course aimed at local business marketing, graphic design

A new professional development course, Graphic Design and Marketing for Business, will be offered this fall by Purdue College of Technology at Richmond in collaboration with the Uptown Innovation Center. The one-credit course will focus on design theories, branding, logo design and corporate identity packages using software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

The course was conceived by Sarah George, assistant professor of computer graphics, after receiving requests from area business owners.
