Mark Zimpfer, assistant clinical professor in the School of Construction Management Technology, was honored with the Outstanding Junior Faculty Award at the National Association of Home Builders’ International Builders Show.

Five members of Purdue Polytechnic’s Department of Technology Leadership and Innovation won the Gerhard Salinger Award For Enhancing I-STEM Education Through Technological/Engineering Design-Based Instruction.

Craig L. Miller, professor in Purdue Polytechnic’s Department of Computer Graphics Technology, was honored on June 1 with the Alumni Society Career Achievement Award from his Ph.D. alma mater, the College of Education and Human Ecology at The Ohio State University.

Yilin Feng, Shelby K. Hobbs, Changmin Xiong and Chuyang Yang, students in Purdue Polytechnic’s School of Aviation and Transportation Technology, won first place in the Airport Cooperative Research Program’s University Design Competition for Addressing Airport Needs.

Louis Hickman, a Ph.D. student in Purdue Polytechnic’s Department of Technology Leadership & Innovation, and Mesut Akdere, associate professor of human resource development, recently won “Best Paper in Human Resource Management” at the Eastern Academy of Management Conference.

Mesut Akdere, associate professor in the Department of Technology Leadership & Innovation and the director of Purdue Human Resource Development (HRD) Virtual Lab, has received the Faculty Research Fellowship award of the Center for Intercultural Learning, Mentorship, Assessment and Research (CILMAR). The award recognizes Purdue faculty who demonstrate a commitment to intercultural research, teaching and learning.

Faculty and staff in the Purdue Polytechnic Institute were recognized for their achievements at the college’s annual luncheon for their achievements during the 2017-2018 academic year.

Mark French, professor of mechanical engineering technology, has been named as a recipient of the 2018 Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award in Memory of Charles B. Murphy.

Todd Kelley, associate professor in the Department of Technology Leadership and Innovation, won the 2017 Gerald F. Day award from the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association.
