Faculty and staff in the Purdue Polytechnic Institute were recognized for their achievements at the college’s annual luncheon on April 26 for their achievements during the 2018-2019 academic year.

​The University Professional and Continuing Education Association (UPCEA) recognized Mitchell Springer with its 2019 UPCEA Leadership and Diversity Award.

Ken Burbank, head of the School of Engineering Technology, was named the recipient of the James H. McGraw Award by the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE).

Twelve ETTE students brought back seven awards from the International Technology & Engineering Educators Association (ITEEA) Conference. Scott Bartholomew was also honored at the event.

Dawn Laux, associate department head and clinical associate professor in the Department of Computer and Information Technology, has been named a recipient of Purdue’s 2019 Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award.

Byung-Cheol “B.C.” Min, assistant professor of computer and information technology, was honored with the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Faculty Early Career Development Program (CAREER) Award for his work related to human-robot interaction and multi-robot systems.

Purdue Polytechnic’s Antonia “Toni” Munguia was named a Purdue University Martin Luther King Jr. Dreamer Award recipient for 2019.

Mark French, James Jenkins and Linda Naimi were inducted into Purdue’s Book of Great Teachers.

Mark Zimpfer, assistant clinical professor in the School of Construction Management Technology, was honored with the Outstanding Junior Faculty Award at the National Association of Home Builders’ International Builders Show.

Five members of Purdue Polytechnic’s Department of Technology Leadership and Innovation won the Gerhard Salinger Award For Enhancing I-STEM Education Through Technological/Engineering Design-Based Instruction.
