After 40 years of teaching, Wes Crawford is being honored for his commitment to education and the construction industry. He will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) at their annual meeting in April 2017 in Seattle.

Kirby paper honored at homeland security symposium
Adam Kirby, who graduated with a PhD in Technology in May, was honored for his research at the recent IEEE Symposium on Technologies for Homeland Security.
Kirby’s paper titled “Active Shooter Mitigation for Gun-Free Zones” placed second among all papers in the Attack and Disaster Preparation, Recovery, and Response category. The category had more than 30 entrants from around the world.
