Several School of Aviation and Transportation Technology (SATT) students and members of the community assisted the Lafayette Police Department’s SWAT team on a training exercise utilizing the school’s large laboratory jet and the ramp space at Hangar 1 on August 29, 2017.

A student team showcased technology projects in Aerospace Advanced Manufacturing and Air Vehicle MRO projects at the STEM Technology Career Expo from October 3–6, 2017, at the BancorpSouth Arena in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Overcoming a devastating spinal cord injury from an accident 10 years ago, Justin Falls, 28, a pharmacist at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, North Carolina, passed his sport pilot check ride after completing his training at the Purdue University Airport.

On Wednesday (March 29), Hong Lei, consul general of the People’s Republic of China in Chicago, and his staff visited Purdue University. 

Gatlyn Ligon, a first-year student in professional flight, reflected on the opportunity she had to attend the Women in Aviation International Conference in Orlando, Florida.

Returning from a detachment in Kansas back to Norfolk, Virginia, Lieutenant Steven Berres, a naval aviator in the U.S. Navy, decided to stop by Purdue for a short visit. He brought along his aircraft, a MH-60S Knighthawk helicopter, and crew.
