In the News: Global Policy seminar tackles major issues
Purdue's Global Policy Research Institute (GPRI), in partnership with the College of Technology, offers students the chance to learn about global policy from an assortment of perspectives. In GPRI's Seminar in Global Policy Issues, 18 co-instructors are collaborating to educate students on topics such as climate change, invasive species, pandemics and terrorism. Topics will focus on the seven GPRI theme areas of agriculture, economy, environment, energy, health, security, and society and leadership.
Getting to know Andrew Hurt
Andrew Hurt, assistant professor in the Department of Technology Leadership & Innovation, came to Purdue to teach in 2009. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degree in organizational leadership and supervision from Purdue. He received his Ph.D. in educational human resource development from Texas A&M University.

In the news: Three Technology alums to play in Super Bowl
Three New England Patriots players started their Purdue careers as College of Technology students. Matt Light studied industrial technology, and Niko Koutouvides and Rob Ninkovich studied organizational leadership and supervision. Healy's experiences inspired her to help others
Erika Healy, a sophomore in mechanical engineering technology and mentor chair for Women in Technology, is profiled on this month’s “Five Students who are Example Makers” feature on the Purdue Web site. SPIRIT program's success highlighted by NSF
The SPIRIT summer program in the college's Department of Computer and Information Technology is featured on the National Science Foundation's Research web site. SPIRIT (Surprising Possibilities Imagined and Realized through Information Technology) invited students, teachers and guidance counselors to Purdue to learn computer programming with the help of Alice, a 3-D storyboarding software tool.
Getting to know David Whittinghill
David Whittinghill, assistant professor of computer graphics technology and computer and information technology, joined the Purdue faculty ranks in 2009. Prior to that, he worked in the defense industry as a senior developer leading user-interface design teams. He has also gained extensive industry experience in the fields of visualization, agent-based modeling, digital anti-tampering, and web development. His expertise is in computer programming. He earned his doctorate, master’s and bachelor’s degrees from Purdue.
