AS in Mechanical Engineering Technology

AS in Mechanical Engineering Technology

In the mechanical engineering technology program, you’ll focus on the application and implementation of technology using a hands-on approach to solve manufacturing problems. These skills can be used to not only improve manufacturing capabilities, but also make these processes faster and safer.

MET associate degree graduates are job-ready and typically accept jobs as engineering technicians, engineering aides, plant maintenance personnel, layout staff, production assistants or technical salespeople. With additional experience, promotion to positions such as industrial supervisors, machine and tool designers, technical buyers, production expediters and cost estimators is possible.
