S2-HUB (Smart and Sustainable Human Urban Building Interaction) Lab

S2-HUB Lab endeavors to advance sustainable and resilient built environments by considering infrastructure networks, humans, and society. The ultimate goal of this lab is to support safe and sustainable environments for human beings by properly investing both limited energy and resources while adapting to technological advances. To achieve this goal, our research is grounded in three areas 1) connections between buildings and other infrastructure networks for resilient urban environments, 2) transformations of building design and construction for energy security and efficiency as well as human comfort, and 3) applications of technological advancements in the construction industry for process innovations and economic benefits.
