A Purdue student invoice is made up of various tuition and fee costs, which make up the total tuition for the University. The University breaks down specific tuition costs in order to be transparent as to where specific funds are directed and how they are utilized.
Some Polytechnic Institute locations host reciprocity agreements allowing qualified students from neighboring states to pay in-state tuition rates. Reciprocity agreements are listed below:
Richmond: Allen, Auglaize, Butler, Darke , Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Mercer, Paulding, Preble, Putnam, Shelby, Van Wert and Williams counties in Ohio.
Vincennes: All counties in Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Illinois
New Albany: Jefferson, Bullitt, Henry, Oldham, Trimble, Shelby, Spencer, and Meade counties in Kentucky
Scholarships
At Purdue, most merit scholarships are awarded to qualified freshmen based on academic information provided in the admission application. There may be scholarships that are available only to students enrolled at a certain Purdue Polytechnic location. These scholarships are awarded based on academic merit and/or need. To be considered for these scholarships, beginning and continuing students must submit a scholarship application each year of their attendance. Location-based scholarships are listed below.
John Eddy Scholarship
One continuing student at Purdue Polytechnic Anderson may receive $500 per academic year. The student must have and maintain a 2.75 GPA or better to qualify.
Bill Wylam Scholarship
1 or more annual scholarships for Purdue Polytechnic Anderson students who have demonstrated financial need as determined by Division of Financial Aid. Preference to students: who reside in Madison County and/or who are participating in a Senior Design Project of Internship.
Statewide General Scholarship Fund
$1000 award. Recipients must have a high school GPA of 3.00 or higher, have applied to Purdue Polytechnic Anderson and plan to take at least 9 credit hours.
John H. and Terri A. Dickey Scholarship
For “Return and Complete” students at a statewide location with preference for support of adult learning initiatives including student support.
Adrian & Helen Minnick Endowment Scholarship awarded to continuing Purdue Polytechnic Columbus student(s).
Brooke E Tuttle Memorial Scholarship awarded to current and/or entering freshman Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) student(s).
Purdue Alumni Advisory Council (PAAC) Scholarship awarded to current and/or entering freshman student(s).
Purdue Columbus General Scholarship awarded to continuing Purdue Polytechnic Columbus student(s).
Heritage Fund Scholarships
In addition to Purdue Polytechnic Columbus and Purdue University scholarships, students are encouraged to apply for scholarships through Heritage Fund of Bartholomew County at www.heritagefundbc.org/scholarships. Deadline to apply for scholarships through Heritage Fund is mid-January for the upcoming academic school year. Recipients of Heritage Fund scholarships will be notified in mid-April that they have received an award, and payments will be made directly to the student's college of attendance prior to the start of the Fall semester.
While there are many scholarships available, Purdue Polytechnic Columbus students are strongly encouraged to apply for the following scholarships (if qualified), as they are awarded specifically to Purdue Polytechnic Columbus students:
Julie M. McKinney Memorial Scholarship – Established in 2000 in memory of Julie M. McKinney by her parents, Roger and Angela McKinney, to celebrate Julie’s love of life and love of the performing arts. Criteria: A graduating senior from Columbus East High School, including Columbus Signature Academy New Tech Campus students whose official enrollment is at Columbus East, who plans to attend an accredited post-secondary college or university as a full-time student and major in elementary education or who plans to attend the Purdue University Polytechnic Columbus location as a full-time student and pursue any one of the bachelor of science STEM degrees offered at the Purdue Columbus location only. Preference will be given to students who participated in any aspect of drama or choir at Columbus East.
Purdue Alumni Advisory Council Scholarship – Established in 2011 by The Purdue Alumni Advisory Council (PAAC), an alumni organization supporting the Purdue Polytechnic Institute in Columbus, to assist students attending Purdue Polytechnic at Columbus. PAAC promotes a variety of education and community causes. Criteria: Resident of Bartholomew County or adjacent counties who is planning to attend or currently attending Purdue Polytechnic Institute (Columbus campus). Graduating high school seniors must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale or 6.0 on a 12.0 scale. Financial need will be considered.
Hispanic/Latino Scholarship – Established to provide tuition and fees for undocumented Hispanic/Latino students who attend IUPUC, Ivy Tech Columbus, or Purdue Polytechnic Columbus. Criteria: Applicants should be graduates of a Bartholomew County high school and have been born in Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, or Nicaragua. Applicants should have their current DACA certification from the US government. Applicants should have a cumulative high school GPA of at least 2.5 (4.0 scale) and/or a cumulative college GPA of at least 3.0 (4.0 scale). The RHS Alumni Scholarship
This scholarship is for students who are graduates of Richmond High School and are attending a Wayne County College (including Purdue Polytechnic Richmond). Please complete the application and return it to the RHS Alumni Office (further instructions on the application).
