The Interior Architecture major at Purdue in Indianapolis blends disciplines such as environmental design, architecture, technology, construction, art, and other trades to create indoor spaces that are both beautiful and functional. The curriculum includes a strong foundation of both practical knowledge and design methodology needed to support the health, safety, and welfare of the public in both residential and commercial structures. Upon graduation, students will be equipped with high-tech abilities and communication skills necessary to work in multidisciplinary teams within the industry.

Interior Architecture merges classroom learning with real-world experience through service-learning activities with community partners. Professionals in the field have the expertise to plan space, implement building codes, design lighting, position mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, assemble computer-generated drawings, choose building materials, and select finishes and furniture for a multitude of client types.
