Christy Tollett is a Student Affairs Administrator at Purdue Polytechnic Richmond. She attended Purdue University-West Lafayette and received a B.S. in Mathematics Education. She went on to pursue graduate studies at Ball State University, earning an M.A. in Counseling Psychology & Guidance Services and an M.A. in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education. She holds Indiana Professional Educator's Licensure in mathematics, psychology, and school counseling.
Christy has a genuine passion for helping students and serving her college & community. In July 2015 she was honored with a Purdue University BRAVO Award. In April 2016 and May 2022, she was the recipient of Purdue Polytechnic's Statewide Excellence Award.
Prior to joining Purdue University, Christy taught mathematics at Centerville Sr. High School and then served students as a high school guidance counselor/director. During her time at Centerville Sr. High School she led the Peer Helper Program and in 2009 was honored as Centerville-Abington School Corporation's Educator of the Year. Christy helped her school earn the Indiana Gold Star School Counseling Award and the American School Counselor Association’s Recognized ASCA Model Program Award.
