Christy Tollett is the Director of Statewide Sites - Anderson & Richmond with Purdue Polytechnic Institute. As a First-Gen Student, she attended Purdue University-West Lafayette and received a B.S. in Mathematics Education. She went on to pursue graduate studies at Ball State University, earning an M.A. in Counseling Psychology & Guidance Services and an M.A. in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education. She holds Indiana Professional Educator's Licensure in mathematics, psychology, and school counseling. She is a Certified Practitioner in Strategic Doing and has obtained the SHRM-CP certification. Christy is active in the Eastern Indiana Human Resource Association, currently serving as the College Relations and Membership Directors, and the Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce, serving on the Business Education Committee. Additionally, she is a member of SHRM, PACADA, INACAC, and Psi Iota Xi Sorority.
Christy has a genuine passion for helping students and serving her college & community. She was recently recognized as the Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce's 2025 Outstanding Business Education Committee Member. In April 2016 and May 2022, she was the recipient of Purdue Polytechnic's Statewide Excellence Awards.
Prior to joining Purdue University, Christy taught mathematics at Centerville Sr. High School and then served students as a high school guidance counselor/director. During her time at Centerville Sr. High School, she led the Peer Helper Program and in 2009 was honored as Centerville-Abington School Corporation's Educator of the Year. Christy helped her school earn the Indiana Gold Star School Counseling Award and the American School Counselor Association’s Recognized ASCA Model Program Award.
