Monica Gamez-Djokic is an Assistant Professor of Technology Leadership & Innovation at the Polytechnic Institute at Purdue University. Dr. Gamez-Djokic’s research uses methods from social psychology to examine how people respond to technological advances in the workplace. Specifically, in one stream of research, she examines how large-scale technological changes within organizations such as automation impact workers, organizations, and social relations more broadly. In a second stream of research, Dr. Gamez-Djokic examines the psychology of morality with a particular focus on the dynamics of moral decision-making and behavior in the workplace. Overall, her research seeks to uncover the social and psychological impact of major technological changes in the workplace and shed light on the potential moral and ethical implications of these changes.

Before Purdue, Dr. Gamez-Djokic was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the McDonough School of Management at Georgetown University and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She received her Ph.D. in Psychology from Northwestern University and BA in Economics from Wellesley College.
