Mr. Matt Ray is currently an Assistant Professor of Practice and the Associate Site Director in Indianapolis overseeing the Construction and Facilities Management Programs for the School of Construction Management Technology, Purdue Polytechnic Institute. He holds degrees in Architectural Technology, Construction Management and Facilities Management. He has also earned IFMA’s Facility Management Professional (FMP) certification and BAMI-I’s CTAM certifications for asset management. Mr. Ray’s 30 plus years of industry experience include the design, engineering and management of single and multifamily construction and light commercial projects along with specializing as a design manager for building components manufacturing. As the associate site director in Indianapolis, Mr. Ray provides oversight and direction for curriculum development, student learning outcomes, and student engagement, along with building and maintaining industry partnerships. He currently provides instruction for Construction Cost Estimating, Scheduling and Project Controls, together with Facilities Planning and Management, Facilities Engineering Systems, Energy Management for Buildings, Quality Control and Financial Aspects of Facilities Management. Mr. Ray is also an active member of the Indianapolis Chapter of IFMA and serves on its education committee.
