Biography
Dr. Sunghwan Lee is an Assistant Professor in the SoET at Purdue University since January, 2019. Prior to Purdue, he was with Baylor University, Waco, TX from 2015 to 2018 as an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science. He earned his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Materials Engineering from KAIST in 2008 and Brown University, Providence, RI in 2013. From 2013 to 2015, he was a Post-Doctoral Scientist at M.I.T and Harvard University, Cambridge, MA, researching on functional thin films for solar cell and fuel cell devices.
His current research focuses on the field of advanced processing of multi-functional materials and their device applications with the following key words: flexible electronics, functional nanostructured materials, microstructure evolution, energy conversion devices.
Dr. Lee has published over 35 journal papers and 30 conference proceedings/abstracts in the literature and given over 30 invited talks and seminars.
