Purdue Aviation Day (PAD) is Purdue University's largest 100% student-run event, organized by students in the School of Aviation and Transportation Technology. Held annually at the Purdue University Airport, the event brings together aviation professionals, students, and the Greater Lafayette community for a full day celebrating the past, present, and future of aviation. The free, public event aims to inspire, educate, and connect attendees through a shared enthusiasm for flight and aerospace innovation.
Visitors can explore dozens of aircraft on static display-from historic propeller planes to modern military and commercial aircraft-while enjoying guest speakers, aviation exhibits, youth activities, food trucks, and live entertainment. Designed for audiences of all ages, Purdue Aviation Day offers a unique opportunity to get up close with aircraft, interact with industry professionals, and experience the excitement of aviation in an engaging, family-friendly environment.
