Unlock flexibility and career-readiness with our Multidisciplinary Technology major
The Multidisciplinary Degree (MDT) at Purdue Polytechnic is a flexible, career-focused program designed for students transferring from an associate’s degree at Ivy Tech into a bachelor’s degree. It builds directly on your technical background and prepares you for roles where technology, systems, and leadership intersect. MDT gives you a custom pathway to align with your ambitions and your employer’s needs. You’ll develop strong technical skills, learn how complex systems work together, and apply your knowledge across industries where technology is constantly evolving.
Students in the Multidisciplinary Technology program can tailor their degree through three distinct pathways that reflect the evolving needs of Indiana’s industries. The Automation, Robotics & Manufacturing Technology pathway prepares students to advance from technician to leader in smart manufacturing and robotics integration. The Project Management & Leadership pathway focuses on managing people, systems, and technology. You will learn to coordinate complex projects across industries such as construction, manufacturing, and healthcare. The Immersive Design & Technology pathway blends creativity and technical expertise, empowering students to design and visualize digital and built environments using 3D, VR, and BIM tools. Together, these pathways give you control over how your Purdue degree supports your career goals and the future of work in technology-driven industries in and around Indianapolis.
