- Mapping the Thermofluids Research Drive (on ECN's Techwin server)
- Professor Ostanek initiates a request to have you added to the network group
- Map a Network Drive (typically letter "Z:\")

- Enter your username as: ecn\username
- Your password is the NON-boilerkey password
- This drive is for storing smaller files, papers, CAD drawings, thesis/dissertation files
- If you are off campus, you must establish a VPN connection for the drive to be available (https:\\webvpn.purdue.edu)
- Mapping the Data Depot drive (on RCAC's Data Depot server)
- Professor Ostanek will add you to the network group
- Map a Network Drive (Typically letter "X:\")
- Address is: \\datadepot-new.rcac.purdue.edu\depot\jostanek
- Enter username and NON-boilerkey password
- This drive is for storing large data sets from CFD or high speed video
- If you are off campus, you must establish a VPN connection for the drive to be available (https:\\webvpn.purdue.edu)
- Remote desktop connection
- You can remote connect to your PC workstation from any machine with an internet connection
- Professor Ostanek initiates a request to ECN to activate your remote desktop privileges
- If you are off campus, you must first establish a VPN connection (https:\\webvpn.purdue.edu)
- Open the remote desktop connection app
- Your username must be typed as "boilerad\username"
- Enter your NON-boilerkey password
