Consulting Song Analyst at Accenture

Describe your potential job duties
I will be working with various Accenture clients to help develop business strategies and new content depending on the type of project.

In what ways did the Polytechnic and/or Purdue help make you uniquely qualified for your new job?
UX degrees from Purdue give their students the necessary skills to be a well rounded leader and peer by the time they walk across the graduation stage. UX is also very close meaning we have smaller class sizes than most majors and I really enjoyed that because I got to know that people and professors in my classes. Adding on to that I got to see what other people were interested in and got to see all that I could do with a UX degree.

How has the college or someone in the college helped you achieve your goals?
I think all the professors in the undergraduate UX program have helped me a lot. They have pushed to do stuff that I wasn’t comfortable with at first and worked with me to guide my to figure out the best course of action when I need. They have helped me prepare for interviews and helped me with my design projects. Overall they have people I can rely on to ask for advice or to bring a smile when are in our studio classes.

What specific classes helped prepare you for your new job?
All of my experience studios have helped a lot with real world expectations of a designer. We worked with real companies on a project for a semester and we all do that minimally four times in our college career. So we get a variety of experience before we graduate. Personally I have done everything from research reports to high fidelity prototypes and I feel confident in my abilities to do that after graduation.

If you had a favorite class, project, experience, or professor, what/who was it, and why?
I really loved my senior design project. This was conducted in my last learning studio, Studio 5: Specialization. I liked it because one I got to choose what my final project was going to be and do something that I love to do which was physical interaction design. The class was also cool because I got to see what everyone else in my cohort was planning on doing for their specialization.
