Help clients assess, design, strategize, and implement effective cybersecurity and risk management programs that provide protection and enforce regulatory and compliance requirements.
In what ways did the Polytechnic and/or Purdue help make you uniquely qualified for your new job?
The way the classes and labs in the CNIT department are structure allowed me to learn how to troubleshoot problems and develop critical thinking skills tailored specifically to cybersecurity issues like networking and threat prevention
How has the college or someone in the college helped you achieve your goals?
My lab partners have always pushed me to do my best work which in tern allowed me to present my best work to companies when I was interviewing for internships and jobs.
What specific classes helped prepare you for your new job?
CNIT 344: Network Engineering Fundamentals, CNIT 455: Network Security, CNIT 470: Incident Response Management
If you had a favorite class, project, experience, or professor, what/who was it, and why?
My favorite class was CNIT 470 because the way that it was taught combined all the different pieces of cybersecurity that are taught throughout the degree into one goal of protecting and managing an entire system
Purdue’s hands-on labs and structured courses helped me develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills specific to cybersecurity. Working with my lab partners pushed me to do my best, which gave me confidence when presenting myself to potential employers."
