Group President, Strategic Projects at Fluor Corporation

Mark Fields serves as Group President of Strategic Projects for Fluor Corporation, responsible for oversight of select major projects and pursuits. Additionally, he is a board member on several Joint Venture companies and acts as an advisor on selected subjects.

Prior to assuming his current position, Mark Fields served as Group President of Project Execution for Fluor Corporation, responsible for oversight of major projects; project execution services; engineering and technology; project controls; quality; construction/fabrication; risk; health, safety and environment (HSE) and security

Mr. Fields was also Group President of Energy & Chemicals, with global oversight for business development and operations in the upstream and downstream oil and gas markets as well as the chemical and petrochemical industries.

Since joining Fluor in 1981, Mr. Fields has held a variety of roles globally in project and construction management, project controls, estimating, material management and commissioning as well as start-up management.

Mr. Fields has extensive experience in international projects. He led the Tengizchevroil megaproject in Kazakhstan and several major petrochemical projects for Sabic in Saudi Arabia. He also has led major upstream, refining, mining, chemical and petrochemical projects for other clients in Africa, Asia, Canada and the United States. He has been involved in projects in 30 different countries throughout his career.

He has a bachelor's degree in construction from Purdue University and has attended executive management programs at Thunderbird School of Global Management, Wharton School of Business and INSEAD.
