The college helped achieve my goals of hands on learning and applying engineering to the real world.
What specific classes helped prepare you for your new job?
Some classes that were especially helpful for preparing me for my new job were the project based classes. The courses Engineering Technology Capstone I & II really helped with my experience of project based work. I was exposed with how to plan, budget, and execute a project in a limited amount of time all while maintaining proper documentation throughout the whole project.
If you had a favorite class, project, experience, or professor, what/who was it, and why?
One of my favorite projects was creating my own electric guitar from scratch in the Stringed Instrument and Design course (MET 439).
