At IVM lab we: (1) research visualization technologies and information models to capture, share, and document life cycle information to support construction management practices, and (2) research emerging computer graphics technologies to develop and validate innovative educational tools that support student learning and lead to effective instructional approaches in the engineering and technology curricula.

The IVM lab is the research counterpart of the BIM lab, a teaching lab that focuses on the teaching of technologies that serve the design, construction and assessment of the built environment.
