The University of Evansville (UE) has announced a partnership with Toyota USA Foundation, Toyota Indiana, and local school corporations to coordinate the Indiana Driving Possibilities initiative, backed by a $2 million grant.

As part of the program, UE's School of Education will host a new branch of Purdue Polytechnic’s Indiana Next Generation Manufacturing Competitiveness Center (IN-MaC). The new IN-MaC Design and Innovation Training Studio will serve as a hub for training educators in robotics, coding, engineering, and other STEM modules, fostering innovation and excitement in STEM education for K-12 students.

The studio, managed by STEM Coordinator Adison Young, aims to provide equitable access to STEM education, enhancing the future of manufacturing and technology education in Indiana.

This collaboration also showcases IN-MaC’s ongoing relationship with Toyota, which has developed around their innovative Pathway System to bring a practical STEM education to young students interested in manufacturing.
