Purdue Polytechnic in Columbus honors class of 2025-26 at commencement ceremony

Purdue Polytechnic in Columbus celebrated its class of 2025-26 graduates on Saturday, May 16, during a commencement ceremony held at 10 a.m. in the Columbus Learning Center Lecture Hall. The event recognized the accomplishments of students earning degrees and certificates across diverse technological fields.

Purdue Polytechnic Columbus serves as a hub for technological education in South Central Indiana. The location provides students access to the region's strong manufacturing sector and numerous career opportunities.

The ceremony featured an address to the candidates by Rami Ghannam, head of the School of Engineering Technology. Ghannam offered words of encouragement and insight to the graduating class.

The morning began with a processional and "The Star-Spangled Banner." W. Michael Bewley delivered the invocation. Nancy Lollar, director of Purdue Polytechnic Columbus, delivered the welcome and introductory remarks.

Dylan M. Parcell, a Bachelor of Science recipient in mechanical engineering technology, delivered the class response. He shared reflections on behalf of his fellow graduates.

Lollar presented the class, and Ghannam conferred the degrees. M. Austin Creasy introduced the individual graduates. Monica Robison welcomed the new alumni into the Purdue Alumni Association, and Lollar provided graduate recognition and closing remarks.

The graduating class received degrees and certificates in fields including computer and information technology, industrial engineering technology, mechanical engineering technology, and organizational leadership.

Purdue Polytechnic in Columbus, part of Purdue Polytechnic's statewide system of nine locations, emphasizes hands-on learning and industry-relevant education. The college prepares graduates for immediate employment and career growth in various sectors with a focus on modern technology.
