Purdue Polytechnic in Kokomo honors class of 2025-26 at commencement ceremony

Purdue Polytechnic in Kokomo celebrated its class of 2025-26 graduates on Saturday, May 9, during a commencement ceremony held at 2 p.m. in Hingst Hall. The event recognized the accomplishments of students earning degrees and certificates across diverse technological fields.

Purdue Polytechnic Kokomo serves as a hub for technological education in North Central Indiana. The location provides students access to the region's robust manufacturing sector and numerous career opportunities.

The ceremony featured an address to the candidates by Susan Perry, vice president of human resources at Haynes International. Perry offered words of encouragement and insight to the graduating class.

The afternoon began with a processional and "The Star-Spangled Banner." Keenen A. Estese delivered the invocation. Keenan Estese, deputy director of Purdue Polytechnic Kokomo, delivered the welcome and introductory remarks.

Dominic Gilbert, a Bachelor of Science recipient in electrical engineering technology, delivered the class response. He shared reflections on behalf of his fellow graduates.

Estese presented the class, conferred the degrees, and introduced the individual graduates. Kadra Hillis welcomed the new alumni into the Purdue Alumni Association. Estese provided graduate recognition and closing remarks.

The graduating class received degrees and certificates in fields including computer and information technology, electrical engineering technology, mechanical engineering technology, industrial engineering technology, and cybersecurity.

Purdue Polytechnic in Kokomo, part of a statewide system of nine locations, emphasizes hands-on learning and industry-relevant education. The college prepares graduates for immediate employment and career growth in various sectors.
