Purdue Polytechnic in Lafayette honors class of 2025-26 at commencement ceremony

Purdue Polytechnic in Lafayette celebrated its class of 2025-26 graduates on Saturday, May 9, during a commencement ceremony held at 10 a.m. at Thomas Duncan Hall. The event recognized the accomplishments of 14 bachelor's degree recipients and 25 certificate earners across diverse technological fields.

Purdue Polytechnic Lafayette serves as a hub for technological education in Tippecanoe County. The location provides students access to the Greater Lafayette region's growing industrial and technology sectors.

The ceremony featured addresses to the candidates by Ed Wulbrecht, senior vice president of Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc., and Tony Roswarski, mayor of Lafayette. They offered words of encouragement and insight to the graduating class. Indiana State Representative Sheila Klinker attended the ceremony as a special guest.

The morning began with a processional and "The Star-Spangled Banner." Bill Kerr, training manager at MasterBrand Cabinets LLC, delivered the invocation. Sindie Ballotti, director of Purdue Polytechnic Lafayette, delivered the welcome and introductory remarks.

Geoffrey Allen, a Bachelor of Science recipient in multidisciplinary technology, delivered the class response. He shared reflections on behalf of his fellow graduates.

Ballotti presented the class. Daniel F. Castro, dean of Purdue Polytechnic, conferred the degrees. Kyle Ochs introduced the individual graduates.

The graduating class received bachelor's degrees in multidisciplinary technology. Students also earned certificates in human resource management, industrial engineering technology, as well as both leadership and the leadership series.

Purdue Polytechnic in Lafayette, part of a statewide system of nine locations, emphasizes hands-on learning and industry-relevant education. The college is situated on the Subaru manufacturing campus in Lafayette, and prepares graduates for immediate employment and career growth in various sectors.
