Purdue Polytechnic in New Albany celebrated its class of 2025-26 graduates on Wednesday, May 13, during a commencement ceremony held at 6 p.m. in the Richard K. Stem Concert Hall. The event recognized the accomplishments of students earning Bachelor of Science degrees across diverse technological fields.
Purdue Polytechnic New Albany serves as a hub for technological education in Southeast Indiana. The location provides students access to the Greater Louisville area's tech scene and numerous job and internship opportunities.
The ceremony featured an address to the candidates by Purdue alumnus Bradley Scott Blaylock. Blaylock offered words of encouragement and insight to the graduating class.
The evening began with a processional. Kyle Logan Henson performed "The Star-Spangled Banner." Daniel F. Castro, dean of Purdue Polytechnic, delivered the welcome and introductory remarks.
Nicolas A. Hilgenhold, a Bachelor of Science recipient in mechanical engineering technology, delivered the class response. He shared reflections on behalf of his fellow graduates.
Joseph F. Dues Jr. presented the class. Castro conferred the degrees. John C. Finnegan introduced the individual graduates. Dues welcomed the new alumni into the Purdue Alumni Association and provided graduate recognition and closing remarks.
The graduating class received degrees in fields including computer graphics technology, electrical engineering technology, and mechanical engineering technology.
