Bill Hutzel is a Professional Engineer and a Professor of Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) at Purdue University in West Lafayette,IN, where he teaches and conducts research in high performance buildings. The goal is to integrate cost effective energy technologies with renewable energy to achieve buildings that are net zero in terms of their annual demand for off-site electricity. In addition to technical work, Professor Hutzel has also assisted with energy policy as a Congressional Fellow in Washington, D.C.
