Bill Hutzel is a Professional Engineer and a Professor of Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN, where he teaches and conducts research in high performance buildings. The goal is to integrate cost effective energy technologies with renewable energy to achieve buildings that are carbon neutral. In addition to technical work, Professor Hutzel has also assisted with energy policy as a Congressional Fellow in Washington, D.C and leads a popular study abroad trip to Germany every May.
